James Madison University was named one of the most comprehensive universities in this subject by the Carnegie Foundation for Educational Development of the United States Government. On October 2, 2009, James Madison University was included in the statute of the Academic Honors Society, the oldest undergraduate honorary society in the United States. In the United States, only 10% of colleges and universities are awarded this honor by the Feitaofi Honorary Society.
