University of Manitoba Diploma campus

There are three University of Manitoba for diplomas -- Bannatyne, Fort Garry and the William Norrie Center. The 10-block Bannatyne campus, between McDermot and William Streets in the city centre, is west of the Health Sciences Centre (Winnipeg) . The complex houses the university's medical and dental teaching areas. The Department of Dentistry, the Department of Medicine, the School of Medical Rehabilitation, and the School of dental hygiene are the main departments of the Health Sciences unit on this campus. The pharmacy department and the 95,000-square-foot Apotex Centre joined the campus on 16 October 2008. The main Fort Garry Campus is a 233-hectare complex on the Red River side of southern Winnipeg, where more than 60 majors teach and research. In addition, the Smart Park University Industrial Park, which consists of 7 buildings, is also located in this area and houses a number of research and development organizations. The William Norrie Center on Selkirk Street provides social work education to downtown residents.
